Patrick McClellan

Patrick McClellan is an Education Finance Research Associate within the Center for Education Systems at WestEd where he analyzes and evaluates education funding policies through experimental and quasi-experimental methods. He has presented his work to state legislators directly, and at professional research organizations such as the Association for Education Finance and Policy, the Association for Public Policy Analysis and Management, and the Center for Poverty and Inequality Research at UC Davis. Currently, he is researching the long-run impacts of California’s Local Control Funding Formula, LCFF Equity Multiplier funding program, and the Golden State Teacher Grant. Prior to joining WestEd, McClellan researched financial and real estate markets during the Great Recession. McClellan holds a BS in Economics from the University of Oregon, and a MS in Applied Economics & Finance from the University of California, Santa Cruz. He is currently pursuing a PhD in School Organization and Educational Policy at the University of California, Davis.
