Cory Koedel is a professor of economics and public policy at the University of Missouri–Columbia. His research focuses broadly on the economics of education, with an emphasis on teacher quality and compensation. His work has been widely cited in top academic journals in economics, education, and public policy, and he has served on multiple technical advisory and review panels for school districts, state and federal agencies, and nonprofit organizations. He currently servies on the editorial boards of Educational Evaluation and Policy Analysis, Education Finance and Policy, Journal of Research on Educational Effectiveness, and Research in Higher Education. Koedel earned a PhD in economics from the University of California, San Diego.
